A new twist on Ombre style

Ombre is the hot trend in hair styling these days.  Ombre is the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark. Brunette ombre into blonde, black ombre into caramel browns, or more daringly blonde ombre into pink/blue/green. Chances are you’ve seen a YouTube video showing how to get a rainbow ombre or “mermaid” hair. Avalon student, Dominica, shows us a new twist on this hot style, ombre on the under layer of hair!  Here she ombres red out to hot pink using Paul Mitchell’s Inkworks.  By doing only the under layer of hair giving a Peek-a-boo effect you leave yourself the option of retaining most of your “standard” hair color.  Perfect if you’re just not ready to commit to all pink hair or maybe your job just doesn’t allow such a dramatic hair color.  To learn more about becoming a student at Avalon visit our website.

Dominica Newsome:  All right! I’m doing a red and bright pink ombré using some Paul Mitchell Inkworks. I’m so excited.
