November 7, 2016
At Avalon School of Cosmetology, we believe in giving back. We believe that being a part of your local community is the best way to create lasting relationships for us and for our students. Avalon is offering donation drives throughout the months of November and December.
You can come into our student salon and receive a $5 haircut when you bring in one can of nonperishable food. This is a 50% discount.
You can get a free haircut when you bring in a new, unwrapped toy. Check out our Facebook page to see information for both of these discounts.
By offering our friends and neighbors services, we are allowing everyone to be a part of the giving season this year. We encourage our students to feel joy that charity brings! Here are a few volunteer opportunities you can participate in near any of our four locations.
You can volunteer for one of these events whether you are near our Phoenix location or our Mesa location.
Chef’s Night Off
You can help serve dinner to homeless youth in Phoenix, AZ on November 14. The chefs at HomeBase work hard, so they are getting a night off! You can learn more about this activity by visiting the HandsOn Greater Phoenix website.

When a foster child is removed from a home that is deemed unsafe, they don’t get to take many belongings with them. The opportunity will be held on December 17, 2016 from 9am-12pm. See here for more event information and registration.
These charity events are being held around our Layton campus area in Utah.
