What’s the Deal with Eyelash Extensions?
Have you noticed that you look around at people on the runways and on the streets and notice that they have the most glorious eyelashes? Long, full, curled, and perfectly tinted. You should know something
before your jealousy gets the best of you, you can have those lashes too. Eyelash extensions. They are trending, they are beautiful, and the best part is that they are convenient.
What Are Eyelash Extensions?
There are three types of eyelash extensions.
- Mink: Real and Faux
Sizes range from 6mm to 17mm! Each lash gives the same end result of longer, fuller, looking lashes. However, each type of lash gives a different look.
Mink: Real and Faux
Mink gives you that very natural, feathery look. Very similar to your natural lashes only significantly better! The lash hairs come from gently brushing the tail of Siberian or Chinese Minks. These lashes are at the top of the line when it comes to eyelash extensions. Because the hairs are so fine and light they do tend to take more maintenance and upkeep to keep them curled and lasting.
You can also go for the faux Mink option. This gives you the feathery look without the risk of having to deal with an animal allergy or the high maintenance upkeep. For those that prefer to stray away from animal products, than anything faux is a go-to. Faux Mink lashes also tend to be less expensive at Mink lashes.
Silk: Real and Faux
If you’re looking for a lash that is natural looking, allergy-free and requires less maintenance, then silk lashes are for you. Silk lashes are a bit heavier than Mink, giving a fuller look. Because they are in the synthetic family, they won’t lose their curl. So jump in the pool, sleep on your stomach, and take a shower without worry!
Are you looking for head-turning, traffic-stopping lashes? Then synthetic lashes are for you! Synthetic lashes don’t give the natural look that silk or mink does but they do give you that bold and dramatic look!
