If you’re interested in the beauty industry, there are a lot of options! Consider each program, what your passions are, and how long you’d like to be in school. Every program has a different number of required hours and techniques. Depending on the location, we offer programs in:
- Eyelash Extensions
- Makeup Artistry
- Advanced Beauty
- Beauty School Instructor
Once you’ve figured out which programs you’re interested in, contact your closest Avalon location and schedule a tour! Check out “Top 5 Questions to Ask on a Tour” so you can feel prepared to get the information you need. Make sure to bring something to take notes on, and even bring a friend or family member! We know it can be a lot of information at once, and a friend can help you stay on track.
Something that makes us unique is our Advanced Beauty classes. Depending on the class, these two week courses can be taken at the same time as our cosmetology or esthetics program, or independently. Currently available in our Advanced Beauty classes are:
As beauty trends grow and transform, these two week courses can help you stay up to date on the latest trends! New careers are constantly being created in the beauty industry, and building on a cosmetology or esthetics foundation could help give you a competitive edge in a future career.
Let’s be realistic! In any career, knowing how to market yourself and your work is half the job. This is why we offer our students an education by Prosper U. We want our students to be familiar and confident with networking, sales, customer services, and other important business skills. The Prosper U curriculum is designed to help you with marketing both in and outside of the beauty industry, so our students can use these skills in multiple facets of their lives.
Where could business skills take you after school? Brittany Del Toro, an esthetics graduate of our Mesa campus, became a co-founder of the SCIN Seminar. The SCIN Seminar is an organization that helps those in the beauty industry to build their social media presence and gain clientele. Social media is a valuable resource to market yourself, so it’s important to learn how to streamline your feed and build high engagement levels to attract new clientele!
We push our students to have a passion for beauty and the drive to succeed. We encourage them to push their limits in a creative setting and to be confident when trying the latest trends and techniques. Each year, we create a student look book to showcase some of our best student work. Schedule a tour with one of our locations to get an in-depth feel for student culture and see what our students are currently working on.
