At each of our locations, students can learn from licensed professionals with years of experience in the beauty industry. To work in the modern beauty industry, you need to be well-versed in current trends and techniques as well as basic business and communication skills. Our programs at Avalon Institute cover these topics and more.
We offer cosmetology, esthetics, and student instructor programs at Avalon Institute. We also offer advanced courses in makeup artistry, eyelash extensions, and hair extensions. Whether you’re more interested in hair or makeup, you can pursue your passion at our school, especially our new cosmetology and esthetics school in Las Vegas, Nevada!
Because we want every student to be able to afford their beauty education, we offer financial assistance options to those who qualify. This includes federal student aid, payment plans, and scholarships. No matter which option sounds best to you, our friendly, skillful staff is here to help you understand all aspects of financial assistance.
Avalon Institute was founded in 1967 and accredited in 1972. Ever since then, we’ve been dedicated to educating future generations of beauty professionals. We focus on current trends, techniques, and technologies to prepare our students for a future in the industry. In addition to our cosmetology, esthetics, and instructor programs, we offer advanced training classes in beauty/wellness and business and financial training. All of our programs and classes are taught by licensed instructors who have years of experience working in beauty.
At all of our campuses, students can learn in professional training facilities and work with industry-standard equipment. You can find us in a variety of locations, ranging from Layton, Utah to our newest Las Vegas beauty school! We’re also located in Aurora, Colorado and Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona.
With brand partners like MAC and Dermalogica, Avalon Institute students can work with high-end products and learn proper application techniques while still in school. Our number one priority is students’ success. That’s why we make it a point to give every student the individualized attention they deserve (and need) to learn and grow.
Our programs can prepare you to sit for your state board exam, but they’re also structured to prepare you for the bigger picture. If you want to become a hair stylist/colorist, esthetician, makeup artist, or student instructor, our courses could help you on that path. Today’s clients want more than just haircuts and color treatments. They want long, full eyelashes, voluminous hair, and glowing skin. Avalon’s advanced courses in hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and makeup artistry can teach you how to perform these in-demand techniques.
We understand that flexible scheduling can be a deciding factor for many students when it comes to applying to beauty school. Whether you work full time or need to care for your family during the day, flexibility is essential. Avalon Institute offers part-time and full-time scheduling options so busy students can fit beauty education into their lifestyle. Just like financial concerns, scheduling shouldn’t get in the way of your future goals!
